Ford is recalling nearly 694,721 examples of 2020-2022 Escape and 2021-2024 Bronco Sport models. The recall report cites a fuel injector that was equipped on 1.5-liter-powered Bronco Sport and Escape crossovers that could crack and cause a fire. The recall report says that only 0.3% of vehicles is affected by this defect.

Following a yearlong investigation, Ford has issued another in a string of recent recalls of its products. This time it's for 694,271 Bronco Sport and Escape models because of a fire risk. The recall population includes a subset of 2021 through 2024 Bronco Sport and 2020 through 2022 Escape SUVs and expands on previous recalls from 2022 and 2024.
