The mother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is promoting a fundraiser by a fine jewelry maker in Texas that has donated $1 million to flooding relief efforts.

Nine-year-old Janie Hunt, a relative of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, was one of the Camp Mystic campers who died due to flooding in Texas over the weekend. Clark's wife, Tavia Hunt, posted to social media revealing that the family had lost Janie Hunt due to the Texas flooding.
