Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with top U.S. and European officials in Rome ahead of a key phone call planned between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

KYIV — US President Trump said he plans to speak by phone Monday with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, followed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of various NATO countries, about ending the war in Ukraine. Trump said the call with Putin will be about stopping the “bloodbath” in Ukraine.

Referring to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Trump said the discussion will focus on "stopping the bloodbath."
