Particularly disappointing in that series was guard Austin Reaves, the undrafted fourth-year ballhandler who has developed into a star-quality player, averaging 20.2 points this season. But he flopped in the postseason, averaging 16.2 points on just 41.1% shooting against the Wolves, with 31.9% shooting from the 3-point line.

During his end-of-the-season press conference, Lakers president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka said he will attempt to acquire a center this summer. Los Angeles played without a center in Game 5 of the Timberwolves series and was outrebounded 54-37, including 18-8 on the offensive glass.

His struggles have led some Lakers fans to wonder if he could get traded this summer. But Jovan Buha of The Athletic said during a Q&A session that the guard is most likely remaining put.
