Bill Belichick will have a new boss in 2026. North Carolina A.D. Bubba Cunningham will leave the position next summer. The school announced the development on Tuesday, via Sports Business Journal.

North Carolina athletic director Bubba Cunningham will work with his newly hired replacement through the end of the year before a transition into an advisor role the university created for him.

Bubba Cunningham has been UNC’s Director of Athletics since 2011 and will take on a new role to help adapt to evolving world of college sports.
