It was a 'perfect night' for Chelsea as they beat Palmeiras to reach the Club World Cup semi-final, despite new signing Estevao Willian scoring against them.

It was with a tear in his eye that Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira bid farewell to the teenager whom he described as “my son”, and although Willian Estevao could not stop Chelsea reaching the Club World Cup semi-finals he certainly made an impression against his new club.

So often causing chaos from the right wing or in a No 10 position, Estevao was switched to the left side for the win over Botafogo
