The destructive fast-moving waters rose 26 feet on the Guadalupe River in just 45 minutes before daybreak Friday, washing away homes and vehicles.

Volunteers gathered in Hunt, Texas, to search for the bodies of an elderly couple who were missing after catastrophic flooding swept through central Texas. Ilda Mendoza said she and other volunteers discovered the body of the husband while the search continues for his wife.
